I’m a thirty-something, coffee loving photographer loving life in Toowoomba. You’ve clicked on ‘Meet Me’ to get here, so I’m going to assume you want to get to know a little bit about me.
I was born in Sweden in the early 80s and immigrated to Australia with my parents, sister and brother in late ’88. Fast forward through till a few of years ago when I was gifted my very first digital manual camera. I’ve always been one to carry a little automatic camera in my handbag, but this was a whole new level of awesome.
I’ve explored many different genres and I can honestly say that my passion lies in weddings and intimate portraiture. Weddings because it’s such a beautiful day, filled with so much emotion and joy – I love that I can be there for the wedding, and then re-live the day as I edit your photos.
Intimate portraiture, also known as boudoir, is an interesting concept. It’s not about baring all physically – it’s about baring all emotionally and seeing the raw you, the authentic you. I have photographed women covered from neck to toe who are so stunning and sexy – less isn’t always more. I love it when a woman books her session, turns up a little anxious and unsure, but by the time she leaves she’s rocking it – she’s owning it. Boudoir photography is about self-acceptance, self-love and seeing the beauty that you always had.
So, what do I do when I’m not photographing, or talking photography? I have two gorgeous (but mischievous) labradoodles, Minnie & Max, and they keep me on my toes whether they’re out walking me, or if we’re at the dog park – there’s never a dull moment.
I look forward to catching up with you over a coffee to discuss how my camera and I can help you.
